So, for this blog post, I’m going to give five truths and five lies that were shown in Hamilton, and it is up to you to guess which ones are false and which ones actually happened! Although there are several parts of the show that are fictionalized, much of what the musical depicts really happened. After watching Hamilton, I had several questions and went on a deep dive into the historical accuracy of the musical. That being said, it’s really weird that I only just now watched a musical about history. If there are two things in life that I like the most, it’s musicals and history (and cats, but that’s not important right now). I know that I’m seven years behind the trend, but I FINALLY watched Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton. This was the second presentation in the C-SPAN series “First Ladies: Influence and Image.Hamilton the Musical: Five Truths and Five Lies Topics included her relationship with and influence upon her husband, the story of her life and raising her family, the importance to history of her letters, and her role in the history of America and of women.
